When Clari announced our $225 million Series F and that we more than quadrupled our valuation to $2.6 billion in two years, financial media saw it as an affirmation that the future of RevOps is here.
“The impact Clari can have is so much bigger than we thought,” said Andy Byrne, CEO of the revenue operations software firm. “We’re transforming the revenue process for every company on the planet.”
On Cheddar News, Byrne says the new round “is a real indicator of the momentum we’ve been experiencing.”

That evidence includes the 80 companies that have become unicorns after implementing Clari, notes a Wall Street Journal feature, which describes Byrne as a “CEO on a mission to make every firm a unicorn.” Another 27 firms using Clari have gone public.
Meanwhile, Crunchbase listed Clari as the second highest funding round of the week. “Every company cares about predicting, analyzing and managing revenue, and it just so happens there’s software for that,” they write.
Venture Beat highlighted the investors, including Blackstone and Silver Lake. Clari “is now well-financed to capitalize on what it calls skyrocketing demand. But perhaps more importantly, Blackstone’s stake extends far behind financial input, as the investment giant also plans to look for opportunities to deploy Clari across hundreds of its portfolio companies globally.”
“Clari’s new $2.6 billion valuation is more than four times higher than what the startup was worth only two years ago,” notes SiliconANGLE, adding that Blackstone and Silver Lake “are among the most prominent players in the private equity ecosystem.”
Describing the Series F “its second megaround in nine months,” the Silicon Valley Business Journal notes that Clari “helps companies manage their sales, finance, marketing, and revenue operations” and counts Adobe and Zoom among its 450 customers.
Investors and Board Members Agree
Rashmi Gopinath, a general partner at B Capital Group, one of Clari’s investors, notes that “the revenue operations movement continues to gain momentum as companies around the world embrace a more connected, transparent, and collaborative revenue process.
“As investors, we’re not only looking for visionary founders and transformative startups, but also the critical business metrics that determine the health and growth trajectory of the company.”
Those metrics include things like net dollar retention, annual recurring revenue, and revenue predictability—all of which Clari tracks and analyzes, offering a transparent view of every part of the business from the front lines to the board room.
Says Kelly Battles, a member of Clari’s board of directors, “Clari’s board meetings aren’t spent questioning the data, they’re used to discuss the future of the company and chart the best path forward for continued growth.
“Clari isn’t just defining the gold standard in revenue for themselves—they’re sharing it with the world.”
Adds Ajay Agarwal, an early investor of Clari’s with Bain Capital , “Clari’s funding milestone, fueled by the passion and support of Clari’s customers, represents an important moment in the creation of the RevOps category, and solidifies Clari’s position at the pinnacle of next generation companies.”
