Ready to take your revenue to new heights?

Today, Clari announced that Stephanie Buscemi, the CMO of Confluent (which recently went public) and former CMO of Salesforce, who has a wealth of experience advising companies on accelerating market leadership, is joining Clari’s board of directors

At Clari, we’ve outperformed our goals in the last few years. And it has required us to think differently about scale and agility. Stephanie’s expertise helping companies manage the challenges of adopting CRM, and her deep understanding of the role revenue operations technology plays at such companies, make her an ideal addition to the board as we navigate the next phase of Clari’s explosive growth.

Stephanie started with Salesforce in 2014, when the company had just over 13,000 employees worldwide. When she left for Confluent this January, Salesforce had grown to more than 56,000 employees. Put it another way: during the same timeframe, Salesforce grew from $4 billion in revenue to $17 billion.

Stephanie herself joined Salesforce as SVP of Analytics Cloud to build and launch Salesforce into the analytics space, before becoming global CMO and overseeing more than 1,700 marketers. That means she’s not only a world-class marketer, she’s also excelled in operations and business development roles as well.

It’s a challenge to manage and support such rapid growth, in terms of operationalizing processes from a leadership perspective and in terms of customer support. Leaders who excel at this are a rare breed.

Stephanie also understands, in a fundamental way, the transformational power of revenue operations. Traditionally, revenue teams at most B2B companies—sales, marketing, and customer success—are disconnected. They often operate in silos and are misaligned throughout the buyer’s journey. From the boardroom to the front line, Clari offers a modern approach to working with CRM that aligns the go-to-market organization to make revenue more connected, efficient, and predictable. Clari has become essential to generate predictable revenue for CEOs and revenue leaders at high-growth companies—and Stephanie understands that potential.

“The time is ripe to enable a modern set of technologies that support where and how the sales teams are working, and at Clari, you’re collecting all these signals that make Clari’s platform the first place for a salesperson to start in the morning, to stay and work there all day, and for the CEO to check every evening before shutting down for the night,” she told me. “It’s no wonder Clari’s seeing accelerated growth, and I’m looking forward to diving in, both as a boardroom member, and a board-level user.”

I couldn’t agree more, Stephanie. Welcome aboard!
